Why dare to engage?
The short answer: Because it will help you get where you want to go, create the rich relationships you want to create, and achieve the results you hunger for.
I believe that it's often the energy from a "dare" that is missing for many people and if harnessed this energy can be very powerful in helping people step up to the next level.
Whether it’s a challenging conversation, speaking from your heart, or taking a stand...or be it engaging a room full of people, a direct report, a spouse, a child, a promotion, a marathon, or your wildest dream...a dare, with some love and support (and a really good reason), can add that little bit of spice that can compel you to move into it.
I believe that rush of energy when doing something a little scary, tantalizing or challenging creates that added edge to succeed in business and in life. These are things you might shy away from at first because it seems too big, daunting, or intimidating. But once you've seen the value and the impact this energy can create, a dare, any dare is too tempting to resist.
And one of the most simple, yet profound dares? Is the dare, as a mission focused leader, to engage in your own self-care, creating stronger personal sustainability that ultimately creates sustainable and more powerful leadership. Often placed at the bottom of the priority list, this is your “secret weapon.” It is a dare to embrace this…and do something with it.
Without these dares in our lives it becomes easy to accept the status quo and never achieve the results we really want or need.

Philosophy
At Dare to Engage we believe there are three universals in achievement.
First; you have to be willing to step outside of your comfort zones to take that dare and create the life and impact you want at work AND at home.
Second; you have to set yourself up for success by taking extremely great care of yourself and your relationships so that you have the energy, stamina, and support to take that dare over and over again.
Third; direct engagement and authentic leadership are key to building stronger relationships and results (in business AND in life.)
Do you know what else?
- It's also important to get in touch with yourself and get really clear on what you WANT. Did you know that less than 5% of adults truly know what they want (and have actual goals to support them getting it)?
- Stepping out of comfort zones and taking the “dare” is essential to your success.
- Being intentional, clear and aware of your impact is also essential to your success as a leader.S
- Practicing extreme self care and "leading" your energy will help you BOOST your energy, stamina and impact, making work and life a lot easier.
Keep in mind I’m not talking about dangerous dares that put you or others at risk. No, I'm talking about the dares that challenge you to be bigger than you thought possible, that help you create stronger relationships, and that move you forward in your life and leadership. The type of dares that ask you to fully engage in your life, be fully present, and create what you want.
I believe that when we fully engage, take care of ourselves, enrich our awareness, step out of comfort zones, and implement systems and structures to support us...We can achieve what we set out to achieve..We can be the leaders we want to be in business and in life.
I believe that the right kinds of challenging, support and resources combined with safe space to explore, learn and fail, create the kind of environment that invites people to dare to engage.
